Behind the Red Door also does the occasional pop-up tea room where are all profits go to charity.
Our last pop-up tea room charity fundraiser was on August 11th 2012 in Burley in Wharfedale. Molly Coddles Cakes and Becky’s Cakes created a vintage themed tea room in The Roundhouse, the wonderful Victorian former gazebo. The pop-up tea room was organised as part of the Marie Curie Blooming Great Tea Party appeal. We had a wonderful array of homemade cakes using the best of local, seasonal produce – we had gooseberry & elderflower cupcakes, bilberry muffins, gooseberry crumble cake, rhubarb & custard cake and red current drizzle cake amongst some traditional favourites.
